Event Introduction

For the first time, Beijing Heart Voice Disabled People’s Art Troupe will come to Florida and give their performance on 11/14/2015 at the Coral Springs Performing Arts Center.

In China, almost all the people are familiar with them. They provide excellent performance, which had been covered by more than 3000 media.

Founded 23 years ago by Mrs. Jianzhi Mu, the group is the first performing arts troupe in China that employs only handicapped performers. Since its inception, the troupe has performed over 6000 times both domestically and abroad. They performed for 2008 Beijing Paralympics Opening Ceremony. Their performance includes Dance, Acrobat, Magic Show, Orchestra, Solo Vocal and Chorus. All of them are world class.

We cordially invite you to come join us at this charity event on 11/14/2015. Not only will you see performances from this group of exceptional performers, you will also get to know some of their personal stories that will surely touch your heart. We only charge a nominal fee for the disabled children and we would greatly appreciate your kind donations. Let your love support them to keep bringing more and more inspiration to the world, and to keep the voices from their heart and soul spreading around the globe.

Performance

Their most famous dance, Thousand Armed Avalokiteshvara, is performed by all deaf or mute performers. Most of the girls were born deaf and abandoned by their parents at birth in remote mountain villages in China.  However, they did not take pity on themselves; instead they learned to dance to express their emotion and love of life.  Despite the social discrimination and hardship, they endured in their young lives, they persevered through hard work, faith and aspirations.  They dance with hearts and souls.  While pursuing their dreams of dancing, they also provide entertainment to the general public; mostly importantly, they become self-sufficient and realize their self-worth.

Behind the Scenes

Everyone who has ever watched their performance has been totally struck in awe. All of the performers were born with some sort of disability or were involved in some unfortunate incident at a very young age. Some were even abandoned by their parents and went to orphanage. Yet in this troupe, they did not let the “little obstacles” block their path, they trained and practiced together, overcame unimaginable adversaries, and brought to the world their voice from their heart and soul.

It is extremely inspiring to watch these handicapped people doing things that most normal people cannot. These are the people who want to show the rest of the world that they are not giving up just because of their disabilities. They have demonstrated time and time again that they can create and enjoy beauty in life just like the rest of us, sometimes even in ways that we cannot. They have inspired group after group of people to really think hard about what is the true meaning of life and love.

However, because of their physical disabilities, these young girls could not carry on a normal training or performing schedules.  Their incomes are very limited, which now seriously threatens the existence of the dance team. Still you can help!  Please come and enjoy their performance.  You will be inspired by their uplifting spirits and touched by their hearts.  You can support their pursuit by monetary donations.  Donations of any size are greatly appreciated.  No amount is too small.  All the donations will be used toward the cost of living and dance training for these precious girls.  Thank you so much for your kindness and generosity!
